Website Relaunch

New year and  you will see this is a brand new website. The old hosting expired, so was a chance for a fresh start. The site has had a massive overhaul as the old site was not only looking tired but also wasn’t working well with modern browsers. The new theme is packed with new features. I’ve continued to use WordPress at it’s core as find it does everything I require for a blog.

The home page has a complete new look, but I think you will find the new look very eye catching. I’ve will  be importing all the old reviews from the old site but the race reports seemed pointless to import across. I will be adding new features throughout the year, so please watch this space.

The theme manages to balance power and beauty, resulting in a high-quality browsing experience for all users. Many sites have to choose between complexity and accessibility, given that their layout cannot adapt to the diminutive screens of hand-held devices. Thankfully, this theme has solved all compatibility and re-sizing issues. Readers who prefer smart phones or tablets can now access your posts with ease. Also the theme can work with any operating system or browser.

Here is a list of the features packed in to the new look site

  • Retina Ready .

  1. I was trying to look up the Birchwood 10k to see what you thought of it, but can’t find it. Is that just because you haven’t imported all of the old content?

    • Hi Tim,

I decided not to import old reports. Birchwood 10k was very hot last year and isn’t as flat as they say. You have to go over two bridges and it’s very twisty and tight in places. Great finish though.

      • Thanks for the summary.

I’d have thought the old reports were worth keeping. You were building a nice archive there, and it’s interesting to see how you’ve progressed over time.
